Product overview
Sell resource quotas on vCenter to your customers. Each service runs in its own pool and customers manage their own virtual machines.
TreVDC is a server module developed for companies that want to sell virtual data centers through WISECP. Instead of a single virtual machine, the customer buys a resource quota: processor, memory, disk, a maximum number of virtual machines and IP addresses. Within this quota, customers create and manage their own virtual machines. vCenter is never shown to the customer.
When an order is created, a resource pool and a folder for that service are created in vCenter. Processor and memory limits are applied through the resource pool, and the disk limit is tracked by the panel. If the pool or folder cannot be created, the service is not delivered.
Virtual machines are created from the templates in the TreHypervisor catalogue. The operating systems and virtualization platforms offered for sale are selected on the templates page in the admin panel. The platforms available for sale are ESXi 8, ESXi 9, Hyper-V, XCP-ng, oVirt node and Proxmox.
On the service page, customers see a summary of their quota, create new virtual machines within the remaining quota, and start, stop, reset and delete their machines. Console access, IP addresses, reverse DNS records and the job history are on the same page. If the template password is defined in the catalogue, the selected IPv4 address is written to the machine after deployment.
When a service is suspended, all virtual machines are powered off and creating new machines is locked. When a service is cancelled, the virtual machines, the resource pool and the folder are deleted and the IP addresses are returned. On an upgrade, the quota and pool limits are increased. A downgrade is only possible within the unused quota.
TreVDC does not open a separate vCenter connection; it uses the vCenter record defined in TreHypervisor. IP addresses are assigned through TreIP. If TreDNS is installed, reverse DNS records are written to TreDNS.
Please note before purchasing: the admin and client screens are currently in Turkish.
The license is issued by TreCloud and assigned to your domain. Updates are published through the WISECP marketplace.
